“When my girls were little it was important to me that they were taken care of: clean, fed, and got their homework done. And it was extremely important that they knew that family is everything and they should always be there for each other. I was helping them get ready for true life.
My goal for them was to find their passion and what they were gonna do for work. I wanted them to really seek that out and I was helping them navigate by trying to guide them through what they liked and what they were good at. I made it a voice that said, “you’re really good at that,” and I pointed out what they were good at. Jordan is really good at writing, so I would point that out. I think she wrote because she liked it; she didn’t know it was something she was good at. Jillian has a big heart. She’s always loved helping people. It is important to tell my girls what they are good at.”
