I’ve been spending more time in my room

“I’ve been stuck in the house with the same people for a long time and I’m getting kind of tired of them. I feel irritable most of the time. I’ve been spending more time in my room because I’ve been fighting with my family a lot. I am improving some skills, though, like roller skating, and I’m working with a vocal coach by Zoom. Here’s what I realize, I’m not really going to take things like hugs and going places for granted anymore.

School has been difficult from home. Some people find it easier to focus, but I find it difficult because it’s on me to plan out my day. Usually I have a teacher telling us what we’re doing. I like having the responsibility, but it came all at once and that was overwhelming. We have a few distance learning classes, but they’re also sending out weekly packets for us to do. Some of them, like write a short story, I send back, but there’s work we do that we don’t have to turn in. They just tell us, do what you will with it.”
