“My kids are at that age when any interaction I can have with them is good. We take walks every day, so they’re kind of stuck and there’s nothing else to do but talk to mom. I love the check in/check out tool. It gives me a chance to poke them to see if they want to talk about stuff. Most of the time they don’t, but every once in a while, something will happen they want to talk about. I think exercising that muscle of talking to mom has been good for all of us.”
